Each door is built in three bands: kilim above, a leather panel through the middle carrying a long brushed-brass bar pull, kilim again below, every seam edged in domed studs. The doors hang on brass hinges and open onto a suede-lined compartment with a full-width chrome hanging rail for jackets, shirts and dresses.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBeneath the doors sits a pair of leather-fronted drawers on soft-close runners, each pulled by a knurled brass knob — the place for knitwear, belts, watches and the small things a wardrobe otherwise swallows. Below them, an open bay divided by a studded shelf takes folded throws, shoes, baskets or a stack of books.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe top is laid with a single kilim panel framed in leather, with brass caps at every corner. Each flank is dressed floor to cornice in five stacked kilim panels, divided by stitched leather rails and lines of studs, so the piece reads as finished from every angle it is seen. The back is covered in suede nap with a leather border.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe carcass is engineered board rather than solid timber — a laminated panel stays true at this height, where solid boards would move with the seasons and let the doors drift. It stands on low solid wood feet that lift it just clear of the floor so you can clean beneath it. The feet are stained to match the leather you choose: walnut with Saddle, blackwood with Onyx.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvery kilim panel is cut by hand from a vintage rug, so the pattern, colours and weave on your piece will not match the photographs. The panels will not match each other either — the door fronts, the top and the ten flank panels are each cut from different parts of the rug. No two wardrobes are alike.
