Below it, two drawers sit side by side on soft-close runners that draw themselves shut the last inch, each faced with a kilim panel framed in leather and pulled by a stitched leather strap on brass mounts.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBoth flanks carry a full-height kilim panel, so the piece is finished on the sides as well as the front and can sit out from a wall or turn a corner without showing a blank face. The back is plain leather.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe carcass is engineered board rather than solid timber, and deliberately so — carrying a television and boxed electronics across this width, a laminated panel stays flat where solid boards move with the seasons. It sits on a solid wood base with tapered legs, stained to sit with your leather. The panels will not match each other either — the two drawer fronts and the two flanks are cut from different parts of the rug.
