Each strand is punched through a cotton canvas backing with a hand-held tool, then the pile is sheared level by hand to a dense, even cut. The black is tufted wool in its own right, not printed or painted on, so every line keeps a clean edge and sits flush with the ivory around it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTwo colours and an all-over repeat make this the most graphic rug in the range. With no medallion to centre, it sits comfortably off-axis — half under a sofa, part-way beneath a bed — and it pairs naturally with black leather, dark wood and plain linen upholstery.
