Welcome to Art Avenue. These Terms of Service govern your use of www.artavenue.com (the "website") and any purchase you make from us. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms, together with our Shipping policy, Returns, Refunds & Cancellations policy and Privacy policy, which form part of these terms. In these terms, "Art Avenue", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Art Avenue, and "you" refers to the person using the website or placing an order.

1. Using this website

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or use the website under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when you create an account, place an order or contact us, and to keep your account details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You agree not to misuse the website: no unlawful use, no attempt to interfere with its security or operation, and no automated scraping or copying of its content.

2. Our pieces

  • Handcrafted by nature. Our furniture, rugs and décor are made by hand in India using natural materials such as wood, leather, wool, cotton and stone. Grain, knots, tone, texture and finish will vary from piece to piece, and from the photographs on our website. These variations are the character of a handmade piece, not a defect.
  • Colours and images. We photograph our pieces as faithfully as we can, but colours may appear differently on different screens. Where colour matters, we are happy to send swatches or additional photographs before you order.
  • Dimensions. Product dimensions are stated in good faith and may vary slightly, typically within 2–3 cm, as each piece is made by hand. Please check dimensions against your space, doorways, staircase and lift before ordering, as set out in our Shipping policy.
  • Care. Natural materials age and develop patina with use. Following the care guidance we provide will help your piece last.

3. Made-to-order and customised pieces

  • Most of our pieces are made to order. Production begins after your order is confirmed, and the crafting time shown on each product page is an estimate, not a guaranteed date.
  • Where you choose a size, finish, fabric, leather or other specification, or ask us to alter a design, we will make the piece to the specification confirmed in your order. Please review your selections carefully before you order.
  • Customised and made-to-order pieces are subject to the cancellation and return terms in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations policy.

4. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of GST. Delivery within India is complimentary to serviceable pin codes, as set out in our Shipping policy.
  • We may change prices at any time. The price that applies is the price shown at the time you place your order.
  • Payment is processed securely through our payment partners. We do not store your full card details. Your order is confirmed only once payment is successfully received.
  • If you need a GST invoice in your business name, add your GSTIN in the cart before placing your order.

5. Orders

  • Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send you an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if a piece is unavailable, if there is an obvious error in the price or description, if we cannot deliver to the address given, or if we suspect fraud or misuse.
  • We take care to describe and price our pieces accurately. If a pricing or listing error comes to light after you order, we will contact you before proceeding, and you may choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

6. Delivery

Delivery timelines, packaging, receiving your piece, holding charges and international orders are covered in our Shipping policy. Risk in a piece passes to you on delivery; ownership passes to you once we have received full payment.

7. Returns, refunds and cancellations

Your rights to cancel, return or exchange a piece, and how refunds are made, are set out in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Trade and international orders

Architects, interior designers and businesses ordering through our trade programme, and customers ordering for delivery outside India, may agree separate terms, pricing and delivery arrangements with us in writing. Where they do, those written terms apply alongside these terms.

9. Intellectual property

All designs, product names, photographs, text, graphics and other content on this website belong to Art Avenue or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, manufacture or sell our designs, or use our content or brand, without our written permission.

10. Reviews and content you share

If you send us reviews, photographs of your space or other content, you allow us to use, reproduce and display it, with credit where appropriate, on our website and social channels. You confirm the content is yours to share and is not unlawful, misleading or offensive. We may decline or remove content at our discretion.

11. Limitation of liability

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, transport disruption or government action. If such an event affects your order, we will tell you and do our best to minimise the delay.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Art Avenue against claims and losses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the website.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a concern arises, please contact us first; most issues are resolved quickly and amicably. Subject to your rights under consumer protection law, the courts at New Delhi shall have jurisdiction over any dispute.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, our Grievance Officer is:

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order applies to that order.
