Description
A low bench dressed entirely in vintage kilim — top and all four sides — set on a plain wooden frame so the weave does all the talking.
The seat is padded and wrapped edge to edge in handwoven kilim, pulled taut over squared corners so the pattern turns the edge cleanly instead of bunching. Beneath it, a solid wood apron rail frames the seat and four tapered solid wood legs lift it clear of the floor. The only addition is a small Art Avenue plate set into the kilim at one corner — no trim, no buttons, no studs — because a good kilim doesn't need help.
At 76 cm long and 38 cm deep it fits where a full bench won't: the end of a queen bed, under a hallway console, beneath a window, or against the wall of an entrance where shoes come off. At 40 cm high it sits at a comfortable perch height and takes a tray or a stack of books just as easily as a person.
Every bench is upholstered from an assorted vintage rug, so no two benches are alike. The top and each side are cut from different parts of the rug, so the panels won't match each other — and the pattern, colours and weave on yours will differ from the photographs. That is the point of the piece, not a variation to be corrected.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 2–3 weeks and then dispatched with complimentary, insured delivery across India, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces.

Stocked pieces may be returned within 14 days. Made-to-order and customised pieces are final sale — which is why we encourage a material sample first.
