Description
A metre and twenty of leather, brass and vintage kilim, built like an old campaign trunk and set on splayed legs so it reads as furniture first and media storage second.
The front is divided into three bays. Either side, a kilim-panelled door opens onto a suede-lined cupboard — room for games, remotes, chargers and the clutter a living room collects. The doors close onto magnetic catches, are pulled by knurled brass knobs and hang on exposed hinges: brass to match your metal finish wherever we can source them, polished nickel otherwise. The centre bay carries an open shelf for a set-top box, router or a stack of books, over a single deep drawer.
The drawer runs on soft-close runners that draw it shut the last inch. It is faced in leather and pulled by a stitched leather strap on brass mounts — the same handle you would find on a steamer trunk.
The top is laid in three panels: leather through the middle where the screen stands, a vintage kilim inset at either end, each join stitched and edged with domed studs. Both flanks carry a full-height kilim panel held in a leather frame with brass caps at every corner. The back is finished in suede nap with a leather border, so the piece can stand away from a wall or float in an open room without showing a raw face.
The carcass is engineered board rather than solid timber — a laminated panel stays true under the weight of a television where solid boards move with the seasons. It sits on a solid wood plinth with splayed, tapered legs, stained to your choice of finish.
Every kilim panel is cut by hand from a vintage rug, so the pattern, colours and weave on your piece will not match the photographs. The panels will not match each other either — the two door fronts, the two top insets and the two flanks are each cut from different parts of the rug. No two TV units are alike. The leather is finished to show its natural markings and will soften and deepen in tone with use.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 6–8 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
