Description
A campaign trunk scaled down to sit beside a chair — and given a drawer, so it earns its place twice over.
The lid lifts on a stay to a deep, suede-lined well: room enough for throws, board games and the things a living room quietly accumulates. Beneath it, a full-width drawer runs on soft-close runners, drawn by a stitched leather strap handle on brass mounts — the everyday layer, for remotes, coasters and reading glasses. Trunk and drawer are lined throughout in a soft velvet-nap suede.
Every panel is hand-cut and hand-stitched over an engineered-board carcass — chosen deliberately over solid timber, because it holds its shape through humidity and won't split or warp at the corners the way a solid-wood box eventually will. Contrast saddle stitching runs along each seam and edge, antique brass corners cap all eight points, a line of dome studs traces the seam between trunk and drawer, and a swing-catch closes the lid with a proper click.
The leather carries a vintage pull-up finish, so the tone shifts across each panel and deepens where hands fall most often.
At 45 cm cubed it reads as furniture rather than a box — a bedside, a sofa-side table, or a lamp table in a hallway.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 2–3 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
