Description
A low stool with a leather seat and kilim sides, raised on four tapered legs. Small enough to move with one hand, and useful in more places than it first appears.
The top is a single panel of leather, lightly padded and eased at the edges so it softens rather than creases underfoot. Handwoven vintage kilim wraps all four sides, each face cut from a different part of the rug — so the pattern changes as you walk around it. The legs are turned in solid wood and splayed just enough to keep the stance open and the piece looking light.
At 40 cm high it sits below seat height, which is what makes it versatile: a footstool pulled up to a lounge chair, a spare seat when the room fills, a perch by a window. The leather top takes a tray without complaint, so it will stand in as a low side table between uses.
Because every kilim panel is hand-cut from an assorted vintage rug, no two are alike. The pattern, colours and weave on yours will differ from the photographs — that one-of-a-kind character is the essence of the piece, not a variation to be corrected.
The leather is left with its natural range of tone. Across the top, where feet and hands land, it will darken and soften into a patina no finish can imitate. Being a natural hide it carries its own record — shade variation, the occasional scar or mark. These are not flaws to be corrected; they are the difference between leather and a print of it.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 2–3 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
