A cane bed built as one piece of joinery from head to foot, and made two ways: with four cane-fronted drawers beneath, or with the space left open behind caned side rails.

The headboard is set between two turned solid wood posts that rise just past its shoulders, with three panels of open-weave rattan cane under a top rail that bends through a soft radius at each end. The footboard answers it at around 55 cm — three more cane panels, posts at each corner — so the bed reads as one piece from head to foot.

With drawers, every inch beneath the mattress is put to work. Four cane-fronted drawers sit below the side rails, two along each side, so each of you has your own storage without walking round the bed. They run on full-extension, soft-close concealed runners — each drawer pulls all the way out, so the back is as easy to reach as the front, and closes quietly on its own. A recessed finger pull is cut into the top of every front — no hardware to catch a shin or break the line. The drawers ride 8–10 cm clear of the floor, which keeps the bed looking low while leaving room to sweep underneath. It is the place for winter quilts, spare linen and the things a bedroom otherwise has nowhere to put.

Without storage, the side rails carry three framed panels of the same hand-woven cane along each side, so the weave runs unbroken round the bed from headboard to footboard. The mattress rests on a solid wood slatted base that lets it breathe, and the bed is lighter to move.

The headboard is finished on both faces — cane above, a framed solid panel below — so the bed can stand under a window or away from the wall. The frame is kiln-dried solid hardwood, dried down before it is cut so it holds its joints through Indian monsoons and dry winters alike; on the storage version the drawer boxes are engineered board, which stays flat and true across a long run where solid timber would cup and stick.

It is shown in Natural Teak, a clear satin lacquer that lets the grain and warm honey tone of the wood show through. It is also made in four stains, Woodland, English Chestnut, Walnut and Blackwood, each smooth or in a wire-brushed Country texture.

Matching side tables can be added to the order: a rounded top over a cane-fronted drawer, a caned lower shelf and turned solid wood legs, made in the same wood finish as your bed, 60 × 45 × 60 cm each, at ₹18,000 a table or ₹36,000 for the pair.

Rattan cane is a natural material and it behaves like one. Tone varies slightly from panel to panel, and over months of daylight the whole bed warms towards a deeper honey. That movement is expected and is part of the reason to choose cane — keep it out of prolonged direct sun if you would rather slow it, and dust the weave with a soft brush.
