Description
Built like a campaign trunk and finished like one. Panels of handwoven kilim are set into a leather frame, every seam traced with hand-set studs and every corner capped in shaped leather — the construction travelling cases were made with, applied to a table that stays put.
The top reads in three bands: kilim at each end, a wide panel of plain hide down the centre. That centre panel is the working surface, left undecorated so it takes trays, books and glasses without fighting them, while the pattern sits where the eye falls rather than where the cup goes.
Two drawers pull out, one from each long side, faced in the same leather with strap handles on aged metal fittings, running on soft-close runners that draw themselves shut the last inch. In a room where the coffee table is also the place remotes, coasters and papers collect, that matters more than it sounds.
The whole piece sits on a base of solid wood — a plinth with tapered legs set slightly inward, so the body appears to float just clear of the floor. Choose it in English chestnut or walnut.
Each kilim panel is cut from a different vintage rug, so no two tables are alike. The pattern, colours and weave on yours will differ from the photographs — that is the nature of the piece, not a variation to be corrected.
The same table is also made at 120 × 60 cm for a three-seater — as the Sojat in Saddle leather, and the Kumbhalgarh in black Onyx.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 4–6 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
