Description
A trunk-built coffee table cut to 120 cm — the length that sits right in front of a three-seater without crowding the room.
The top is laid in three panels: vintage kilim at each end, a wide panel of plain leather down the centre. The centre is the working surface, flat and wipeable, so trays, books and cups sit on hide while the pattern stays where the eye falls. The front and back repeat the arrangement — kilim either side, leather in the middle — and both short ends are wrapped in kilim framed by a leather border, each carrying a stitched Art Avenue maker's tag.
There are two drawers, one in each long face, so the table works from whichever side of the room you approach it. Each is fronted in the same leather with a saddle-stitched strap handle on brass plates, lined in velvet-nap suede, and runs on soft-close runners that draw it shut the last inch.
Every edge is bound in leather and every corner capped with a shaped, stitched leather cap set with hand-hammered domed studs — a run of studs also traces each seam. The carcass is engineered board, which keeps a 120 cm top flat under daily use; beneath it, a solid wood plinth on four tapered legs lifts the body just clear of the floor, so it reads as furniture rather than a trunk set down on the rug. Choose the base in English chestnut or walnut, the two tones we pair with Saddle leather.
Each kilim panel is hand-cut from an assorted vintage rug, so no two tables are alike — and the panels on a single table will not match each other either. The pattern, colours and weave on yours will differ from the photographs; that is the nature of the piece, not a variation to be corrected. The leather will darken and soften along the top where hands and cups land.
Also made in black Onyx leather as the Kumbhalgarh, and at 152 cm long, in two depths, as the Chandigarh.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 4–6 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
