Description
The steamer trunk, lowered to coffee-table height and given two drawers.
Kilim runs across all four sides and frames the top, with a single leather panel set into the centre — flat, wipeable, and large enough to take a tray, a stack of books and a lamp without any of it sitting on the weave. Leather binds every edge and caps all eight corners, each cap hand-set with domed studs, and metal brackets wrap the lower corners where a piece at shin height takes its knocks.
Two drawers pull from opposite faces on full-extension soft-close runners, each fronted in leather with a saddle-stitched strap handle on shaped brass plates. Opposing drawers mean the table works from either side of the room — you are never approaching it from the back. The remaining two faces are left as unbroken kilim.
The whole sits on a solid mango wood plinth with four tapered legs, lifted just enough that the piece reads as furniture rather than as a box set on the floor.
Each kilim panel is hand-cut from an assorted vintage rug, so no two tables are alike. The pattern, colours and weave on yours will differ from the photographs — that one-of-a-kind character is the essence of the piece, not a variation to be corrected. The leather binding holds all that colour in check, which is why the table reads as furniture and not as a folded rug.
Three square sizes, all 40 cm high. The 90 cm suits a two- or three-seater; the 120 cm holds its own against an L-shape; the 150 cm is for a large sectional, or a room where the table is meant to be the centre of it. Leave 40–45 cm between the table edge and the sofa front in every case. The table pictured here is the 90 cm; the 120 cm is photographed on its own page.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 4–6 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
