Description
Most bedside tables are furniture. This one is closer to luggage — a small leather case on legs, built the way travelling trunks were built, and sized for the space beside a bed. At 45 cm in every direction it fits where a larger chest won't, and stands just as well beside a reading chair.
The carcass is engineered board clad in hand-cut leather, saddle-stitched along every edge and drawn tight across the top, the front and both flanks. The top is laid as an inset panel inside a stitched leather border, the way a case lid would be, and cast metal caps armour the four upper corners.
The two drawers carry the design. Each front is lightly padded beneath the leather, so it holds a soft, cushioned profile, and is framed by a single border of hand-set studs with a knurled knob at its centre. The drawers run on soft-close runners, and the interiors are lined in a warm brown, suede-like finish. The back panel carries the same lining, so the table can stand free of the wall.
The case stands on four splayed, tapered metal legs in a dark bronze finish, which lift it clear of the floor and keep a compact piece from looking heavy. A leather maker's tag, riveted in place, sits low on one flank.
The leather is finished with oil and wax rather than a heavy pigment, so it lightens wherever the hide is stretched or pressed — that is where the clouded, marbled variation across the panels comes from. It is the hide, not a printed effect, and no two tables carry the same markings. With handling it will deepen and burnish, and the studs and corners will soften toward amber. Both are expected, and both improve the piece.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 2–3 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
