Description
A bar cart puts everything on show and a bar cabinet hides it all but gives you nowhere to pour. This one does both, then closes back to a leather box 38 cm deep that rolls out of the way.
The case is wrapped in leather on every face — plain or croc-embossed, in the colour you choose — over an engineered-board carcass that stays dead square when the piece is loaded with glass and pushed across a room. The twin doors meet under a round brass medallion pull and lock with a key; the left door bolts from the inside so the pair locks as one. Brass grab handles on both flanks give you something to push against when you move it.
Inside, everything is lined in black suede. A leather-fronted drawer runs across the top, divided for bar tools, stoppers and napkins. Below it sits a grid of eight bottle cubbies, and below that an open compartment tall enough for decanters, an ice bucket or glassware.
The trays are the point. There are three, and every one lifts out: a 48 × 33 cm tray across the top, and two 33 × 25 cm trays on the open shelves down the side. Each is lined in python-print leather, framed in the same leather as the body and fitted with brass handles. Set out, the cabinet is a small bar you can mix on; lift a tray and it goes straight to the table.
The croc finish is embossed and hand-worked, so the scale pattern catches light differently across each panel. The plain finish shows the hide's own grain instead and records handling more openly. Either way tone shifts slightly panel to panel and deepens with use, and the brass will take on a patina. Neither is a fault; both are why the piece looks better in year five than in year one. Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 4–6 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
