Description
A cabinet narrow enough for a hallway and tall enough to be useful standing up — 108 cm puts the top at pouring height rather than lamp height.
The body is leather, hand-cut and laid over the carcass panel by panel, stitched along every seam and finished with domed studs driven by hand down the rails. Half-round brass caps wrap all eight corners. Two doors open onto a single tall compartment; below them sit two full-width drawers on soft-close runners with knurled brass knobs. The door pulls are curved leather straps, stitched through and mounted on brass plates. Hinges are brass where we can source them and nickel otherwise.
Vintage kilim is inset into both door panels, carried full-height across both flanks, and laid into the top. The interior and back panel are lined in suede. The carcass is engineered board — it holds flat and true through a Delhi summer, where solid timber cups and moves with the season — and the plinth and tapered legs beneath it are solid wood.
Each kilim panel is hand-cut from a vintage rug, so no two cabinets are alike. The exact pattern, colours and weave will differ from the photographs, and the panels on one cabinet will not match one another — that one-of-a-kind character is the essence of the piece. The leather carries the natural marks of the hide and will deepen in colour where hands fall on it.

Your piece is built after you order it rather than taken off a shelf, so we’d rather you check these measurements against your room first — made-to-order pieces can’t be returned or exchanged. Being handmade, finished dimensions may vary by a centimetre or two.

Materials
Built from carefully selected, natural materials — kiln-dried hardwoods, hand-spun textiles, cast metal and quarried stone, chosen to last for decades. Naturally occurring grain and tone variation is intrinsic to each handmade piece.
Fabric care
Vacuum gently and regularly with an upholstery attachment to lift dust before it settles. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — press, don’t rub — and avoid soaking the fabric. Plump and rotate loose cushions so they wear evenly. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour, and have delicate weaves cleaned professionally rather than machine-washed.
Craftsmanship
Carved, joined and finished by hand in our workshops, passing through the hands of several craftspeople. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon — never glued shortcuts — so the piece is made to be kept and passed down.
Assembly & Installation
Most pieces arrive securely packed and ready to use. Some larger items may require simple assembly; installation assistance may be available depending on the product and your location — speak with a consultant to confirm before ordering.
Care
Dust timber with a soft dry cloth and treat with wax balm twice yearly. Vacuum upholstery gently and treat marks promptly. Keep out of prolonged direct sun to preserve the finish.
Delivery & Shipping
Made-to-order pieces are crafted in 4–6 weeks and then dispatched by safe, insured delivery, securely packed for transit. Assembly assistance is available on selected pieces. International freight is quoted at checkout.
